AME Students Win APS DFD Poster Competition

AME graduate students have taken 1st place in two of the four student poster categories at the American Physical Society's 67th annual Division of Fluid Dynamics meeting in San Francisco, November 23-25, 2014.

Monica Nguyen and Qian Wan won 1st prize with their poster entitled "Experimental Investigation Of Passive Shock Wave Mitigation Using Obstacle Arrangements" in the General Fluid Dynamics category. In the Bio and Bio-inspired category, Ryan Miller, Chris Dougherty and Gauri Khanolkar won 1st prize for "The Recreation Of A Unique Shrimp's Mechanically Induced Cavitation Bubble".
