Professor Emeritus Terence Langdon Recognized with Senior Career Award

Congratulations to Terence Langdon, Professor Emeritus of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, for receiving the 2023 Senior Career Award from the Journal of Materials Research and Technology (JMRT). This recognition is awarded “annually to an individual with outstanding accomplishments in materials science and engineering that [is] globally recognized.”  

Dr. Langdon is an accomplished metallurgist with a citation count over 25,000 and an h-index of 70, the largest of anyone associated with USC AME. Dr. Langdon was in our department for over 40 years before he retired and moved back to the U.K. 

Along with accepting the award, Dr. Langdon will deliver a plenary lecture at the Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society for Metallurgy, Materials, and Mining (ABM) in Sao Paulo, August 1 to 3, 2023. We extend our utmost congratulations to Dr. Langdon and his most recent achievement!
