I'm probably a little different than most of
your average aerospace students because I'm in
Navy ROTC - Marine option. I'm a senior right
now and I have spent every summer on active
duty deployment. Two summers ago I was on the
USS Kitty Hawk (aircraft carrier) for 5 weeks
and I worked primarily with the V3 department.
They were in charge of moving and launching
aircraft. This last summer I spent in
Quantico VA at Officer Candidates School, a 6
week boot camp for upcoming officers. There
are pictures on the following web site:

The day I graduate in May I will be
commissioned as a 2nd LT in the United States
Marine Corps and I'll be sent to The Basic
School, a 6 month program where we learn to be
infantry officers. After that I'll be going
to flight school, hopefully to fly F/A-18's or
the new F-35, if it's ready. I spend a lot of
time in the ROTC program training and training
those under me. We are lucky in a way because
we don't have to worry about interning or
finding a job after graduation. We already
have one lined up. I think it is a privilege
to serve my country and to be given this
opportunity.
